Published: February, 08 2010

The Environmental Protection Agency has registered Tenet, a biological fungicide from Morrisville, N.C.-based Isagro-USA.

It will be marketed in the United States by SipcamAdvan, according to a news release.

Tenet contains two strains of Trichoderma asperellum and T. gamsii, both of which kill soilborne root diseases. They target Phytophthora capsici, Rhizoctonia, Puthium and Fusarium.

The beneficial organisms consume injurious ones.

The fungicide is registered on a wide variety of crops.
